Finally, I’ve gotten round to writing a blog about one of my fave places in Jersey… Tiffin!

This is a little gem of a tea house, bar and restaurant, tucked away round the side of Elizabeth Marina, so it goes without saying that the views are amazing!

Tiffin is a form of cake-like confection composed of crushed biscuits (most commonly digestive biscuits), sugar, syrup, raisins and cocoa powder, often covered with a layer of melted chocolate. Of course, there is always an abundance of this signature dish available!

The hosts and the welcome here are second to none, Linda and Nick are the owners and greet everyone with a familiar, welcoming smile. It really is a home away from home for any occasion!

The decor is soft and sumptuous with quirky little touches dotted all around… Make sure you explore every corner when you arrive and be sure to find Cedric the Sheep to say hello!

W and I often visit this fab little spot for a nice cold bottle of Sancerre, which is delicious. Your glass will never go empty either! Tiffin is literally caters for EVERYTHING though, not just our wine craving! There’s a yummy menu for all occasions; breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, Cicchetti (delicious bite size morsels of food, VERY tasty!) and a fresh, local dinner menu to top it all off.

You could literally arrive here at 9am and not have to leave all day, it would sure be a lovely way to while away the hours, watching the sun move in the sky and the yachts coming and going!

We had a little fun playing around on the Terrace during the evening this week … Well, if you can’t be silly with wine, when can you be?!

If you really want to be naughty, then they provide the perfect excuse at Tiffin, yes, there really is a naughty corner! Regularly stocked with homemade cakes, pastries and all sorts of little delicacies.

When it started to get a little cooler in the evening, our ever thoughtful hosts brought out a cosy (and very much appreciated!) little green snug, delicately embroider with the Tiffin logo. After settling down in my fleecy blacket, W and I enjoyed our crisp wine into the early evening, and watched the sunset. A truly great way to spend any day!

If you’re out and about in Jersey, I highly recommend a visit to Tiffin, you can find more info and menus on their website here. But fear not if you’re not visiting Jersey for a while, there’s also a Tiffin Teahouse in Clevedon for all of you guys based in the UK, Enjoy!
