Last night was Ladies night at Lancôme. I’ve been doing these parties for around four years now, and they’re always great fun and something a little different!

We hosted this particular night at the Lancôme counter in Boots, Jersey. Basically, you invite your best girl pals for a get together after the store closes and your wonderful Lancôme representative will lead you through a make-up tutorial to suit whatever season you are in.

After you have been fully briefed and learnt how to care for your skin and look your best, you then have the opportunity to purchase any of the products you liked, which also tend to come with the added benefit of a free gift too!

Did I mention there’s also bubbles and chocolates involved, you know, just to sweeten the deal!

Our beautiful model for the evening was Emma, who really didn’t need that much make-up at all to be fair, but she made a very good model! Emma is new to the island, so I invited her along to meet a few of the girls and get to know more people, we had a very mixed group of ladies and all had a great laugh together.

Emma is launching a very exciting new business soon too, an online fashion boutique called Gracie Blue. Visit the Facebook page and keep an eye out for the website launch, I’ve already pre-ordered one of the dresses she has coming in, there are some beautiful pieces due to arrive!

Leanne is our Lancôme representative in Jersey and she’s absolutely brilliant! I have always had Leanne to host the parties over the last few years, she is extremely knowledgeable, loves her job and she actually listens to what you want before recommending products to you.

In other words, you don’t get the hard sell on the latest product just because it’s new, Leanne genuinely cares that you get the right product for you and will take time to ensure that’s exactly what you get. If you’re looking for advice or new products, definitely pop in and see her at the Lancôme counter in Boots. You can also email her if you want to set up your own party or book an appointment on:

After a great summer make-up demonstration and some bubbles, we got a little bit giddy, then dived straight in to the shopping task ahead!

I came away with a bag stuffed full of goodies, and could quite happily have filled another few if money was no object! However, I resisted and only went for the essentials … mostly!

If you have a group of girls that might enjoy this, get in touch with Leanne to organise a party. We all had a brilliant night and actually learnt something at the same time. Plus, party + bubbles + shopping, what’s not to like?!

I’m now looking forward to taking up the offer of a free one-on-one make-up tutorial with Leanne, a little treat that all the girls received at the event, we’ll all be make-up experts before we know it!
